Set WIP

Pictures of the set WIP. Pretty much done. I do need some siding for the corners. I used craft wood from Michael's for the window and door frames, as well as the boards inside the wall. The doorknob was interesting. I had a knob whose screw was too short. Thankfully Bill (swiftly becoming my power tools guru) was able to use an interesting drill bit to carefully thin the 1/4" wood until the screw reached. Forgot to take a picture while the knob was attached. I used No More Nails as my glue. Faster drying than the the wood glue I initially purchased. Once again, thanks Bill. So much is owed to you.

ACT I - Storyboard

MG Chara Intro Animatic March 31 2015 from Chantal Beaulne on Vimeo.

An initial animatic to introduce the characters. While things have changed, I like the warmth of this scene. The Mongoose is now more sinister from the get go, which makes things easier. I also like seeing scenes behind the wall, but my set means I can only do so much. Mostly restricted to that room now.

Script (WIP) Sept. 2015

I'm unhappy with the dialogue towards the end. Needs much work. This is a third draft, managed to get it quite short but I'm sure more can go.

Set WIP - Wallpaper

I attached the wrapping paper I designed using this spray adhesive. I tested it out with white glue but that...didn't go well. Bubbling, paper getting holes int, horror story. Luckily  a friend suggested this dryer alternative. Spray Adhesive! What a miracle. I used a paint pan to flatten the paper. It took a log time to get it on nicely. So I cut out a larger  piece, glue it, then later cut out the piece from behind with an exacto knife. Not pictured, but I also painted and prepared the particle board I'm using for the floor.

Set WIP

Some Pics of the set. Used a circular saw to carve up some Masonite. It's on two pieces of Particle board so I can pull it apart for ease of close-up.

Using L-Brackets to hold the walls together - this way I can remove the walls for different shots.
